That's looking like a beautifully set up team. Honestly looks pretty solid throughout, except for arguably Lucic but i'm cautiously optimistic to see how he does if the Flames use him correctly. I was scoping out some Power Rankings and things like that and seems like most of these writers are discounting the Flames, due to a number of factors, but often goaltending or believing our forwards will come down to earth and score significantly less. Here's hoping we prove em all wrong.

Interested to see how Bennett and Ryan do together...I have a feeling they're going to a productive pair. Also the smallest Centre on the team has to like being with two big physical wingers.

After watching how Colorado really took it too us in the playoffs...and along with their new acquisitions over the summer (which added even more fire power and speed...), I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little worried on how tonight’s game is gonna go...knowing we haven't done all that much to bolster our lineup...But for what it’s worth,
as the biggest Flames fan living in Vancouver, I DO BELIEVE!!!😉
I just really hope the heartache and disappointment that the Flames has to go through(as individuals and as a team) with how our season ended and having a long ass summer they had to endure is gonna really make them HUNGRY enough to really take it too them tonight!!!

How are you doing Hockeybuzz virgin posting on the board. I agree Colorado has gotten better but I still think the Flames would've won that series if it wasn't for Colorado tying game two with less then 2 minutes left. If Calgary held on to the lead and took a 2-0 series lead, I think they would've won in 5 or 6. They will be stronger this year from what happened last year.

Flames beat Colorado during the regular season. For some reason they played like crap February and March and carried that through into the playoffs. Let’s hope they peak going into the playoffs not for their mandatory 5 day break.

Regardless drop the fuking puck let’s get this show going!

I think Treliving done a good job with the exception of the ufa signings. Most GMs overpay on the ufa’s he’s no different.

I know it’s game one. So things will change, maybe even this game! but frolik needs to go down in the lineup. Bennett on the second line, Mangy panty or Czarnik up to the third. Do it!

Saying it here right now our fourth line will be the best in the league this year there is some wicked good skill on that line mark my words !!!!!

Yeah I agree, just baffles me they miss that with a ref right there lol. It’s only the first period of the first game, some jitters sloppy play and too many penalties. I didn’t expect a perfect game on opening night.

Surprise surprise flames come out and get outworked and outplayed.

Gaudreau looks like hes been in the booger sugar all summer.
